Guelmo Alexis the founder and President of the DAMABIAH Foundation is passionate about social service and started working as a social worker at the age of 19. He has compassion for the suffering of the underprivileged and oppressed sections of society.

He was astonished to realize the atrocities and discrimination faced by women and the poorest in Haiti. He therefore decided to support them with fairness, justice and empowerment. He struggles to mobilize resources for the cause of the poor and needy. The DAMABIAH Foundation is a Christian organization that works with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. 

We are looking for new, high-quality, high-impact resources to support a range of initiatives transforming vulnerable communities in Haiti, including in our education, health, agriculture, livelihoods and water programs.

At DAMABIAH Foundation, we kick-start development in remote villages in Haiti, empowering rural communities by providing the basic necessities of life from healthcare, food, Water, Sanitation, Education, Livelihood, women Empowerment and socio-economic development thus lifting them out of poverty. We provide education, healthcare, shelter and food to underprivileged people, children, orphans, disabled, and street children.

DAMABIAH Foundation Is A Charity Focused On:

  • Providing free medical healthcare, education, shelter and food to underprivileged people, children, orphans, disabled, and street children.
  • Raising awareness among poor women and teenagers of their rights and prerogatives.
  • Empowering of women and promotion of SHGs.
  • Sponsoring lunches and groceries for the elderly, to allow them to eat in time.
  • Helping and rehabilitate victims of natural calamities such as floods, storms and droughts.
  • Raising awareness among the remote rural masses.
  • Raising public awareness on health and sanitation, education and human rights.
  • Promoting the scientific temperament and anchor computing at the base.
  • Raising awareness of HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria and organizing medical health camps for remote rural residents.
  • Encourage sustainable agricultural development and organic farming.
  • establishing unity, integrity and community harmony.
  • Encouraging adult education among rural communes and slum dwellers.
  • Caring for people with disabilities.

The DAMABIAH Foundation works hard to ensure that all the resources entrusted to the organization are used as effectively as possible to have the maximum impact on the poorest people, particularly the children and communities in need.

  • The DAMABIAH Foundation provides relief in emergency situations and works on long-term community development projects to help thousands of people in Haiti.
  • Together, these programs address the causes of poverty and help people move towards self-sufficiency.
  • Our work is made possible primarily through the support of generous individuals. We rely on people like you to donate to our programs and appeals so that we can provide lifesaving short and long term assistance to those in need in Haiti.

  • We work hard to ensure your generous donation makes the biggest impact, where it’s needed most. In 2021/22, 89c of every dollar was spent on our lifesaving programs, responding to emergencies and helping to create a more equal world.
